my 2015 one little word: try
floats through blogosphere, or at least through my blogosphere. I never quite thought it was for me. I wasn't sure what one word I would use, or how I would use it. I also thought since everyone is doing it, that it would be cliche to do.
I thought a lot about what I want to do in 2015, and what I hope to get out of it. I kept coming back to the thought that I constantly want to learn by trying something. Lately, there's been so many mediums I'm super interested in trying - crocheting, woodworking, letterpressing, etc. Then, there's my always goal of trying new restaurants, bars, and neighborhoods in NYC. Even #DancingMan bought a pack of deals for different bars throughout Manhattan so that we (well, really he. I just get to tag along ;) ) can try new places.
As I thought more and more about this One Little Word concept, I realized that my word was literally in front me.
. So short. So simple. But full of so many opportunities.
I want to try new mediums. I want to try to make new things using my hands. I want to try new restaurants, bars and neighborhoods in NYC. I want to try to have more patience. I want to try cooking new food groups outside of pasta. I want to try selling my own products. I want to try being a better blogger.
Even if I don't succeed, at least I tried. I figure that since I'll be hitting my 'mid-20s' officially this year, this is the time to try new things in order to understand more of my likes, dislikes, strengths and weaknesses. This is the time to experiment. This is the time to learn and make mistakes and learn some more.
Here's to trying in 2015.
