One of my very favorite things to do in New York this time of year is to walk around and get figuratively lost in Central Park. Cliche much? Of course. What in Central Park isn't cliche?
BUT! You seriously can't beat the nature scene of Central Park. At least on the island of Manhattan.
I got up early last Saturday before the Marathon started to walk around the park. And by early, I mean 7am (I know - you can all close your open mouths now). I'm so glad I did. The city was quiet! Well, by NYC quiet standards anyways. It took me awhile to find an open entrance (86th street, if you're curious), but I was able to get in right where the Jackie O. Reservoir started, which was so beautiful.
It was freeeeezing that morning, but it made me walk faster to warm up so I was able to get a nice workout in early on.
Where's your favorite Central Park view?
