So much has happened over the past 2 weeks that sometimes it feels like a year, and other times it feels like a minute. Most recently, we've had some family milestones. My grandpa passed away on Thursday, April 17. This didn't come as a shock for anyone in family, as this is what he's wanted ever since my grandma passed away. His health has been dwindling over the past couple years, and thankfully, everyone had the chance to say their goodbyes over the past year. The funeral will be over Bloomsday weekend, which as his favorite Spokane event, it only seems fitting. Then on Friday, my sister had to have surgery to remove her spleen. Apparently her spleen died, and then started doing somersaults - aka lots of pain. She is healing fine now, but is still in the hospital.
On a more positive note, the weather over the past 2 weekends has been phenomenal! Last weekend, all I did was read and walk outside. And for Easter weekend, we spent it in the park all day. Sun, you can keep shining anytime you want! I never used to be a weather person, but man, after 3 months of grey darkness and too much precipitation, it's amazing what the sun can do for your health!
For those of you who have offered kind words and prayers for our family, thank you! It's very appreciated!
